Company History:
The Concept: The inspiration behind What A Day originated in 2002 when aspiring artist Jonathan Bartlett created five images depicting a character enjoying a day full of outdoor activities. When it was time to name the piece he tried to imagine the way he would feel after the experience in the design. This is when it all started as J.B sat back and thought "ahhh, what a day." The title fit perfectly and the idea has stuck.
The Company: Two college roommates, Jonathan Bartlett, and Ryan Webster, two totally different people, two great friends, two ambitious business partners. Originally the clothing idea was conceptualized by Jonathan, but other opportunities presented themselves and nothing was ever launched. As the What A Day illustrations sat dormant for a few years, Ryan the business student decided it would be a great idea to bring the idea back to life and create a clothing company. In 2005, Ryan began working on a plan to get the project started and Jonathan revamped the artwork and began the fine tuning process. After months of the fun stuff, they are excited to offer you their high quality, unique, and environmentally friendly products.
